Meet Coach Pete
Peter Torres III. Built from the dirt up.
Coach the person first, and the winner follows.
Why Field Fluid exists.
Pete kept seeing kids playing scared, with no confidence in the infield. He knew he could explain the game at a pace kids could actually take in, and get them comfortable playing defense at a high level.
Pete grew up in Vacaville and started T-ball at two, always playing up. He played three years up from age five and suited up for Fortune baseball at ten.
He played college baseball at three levels: Santa Rosa Junior College, Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa (NAIA, nationally ranked), and the Academy of Art (D2) before the school closed.
He coached at Santa Rosa, helped run a facility in Pueblo, Colorado, and trained under Hall of Fame coach Damon Neidlinger. He has run PT3 Fundamentals and Field Fluid Academy for about two years, coaching athletes from age six to the pros.

Three beliefs that build winners.
“Coach the person, and the rest figures itself out.”
Help them believe in themselves and want more for themselves, and they become the player you knew they could be.
“Infield isn't four separate skills. It's one rhythm.”
Athletes plateau when they're trained in pieces. The pillars only work when they connect.
“Confidence on game day is built in practice.”
One deliberate rep at a time, inside the right framework.

The kid who made JV.
One of Pete's athletes is on the autism spectrum. After four months of training together, he made his high school JV team.
When he and his mom shared the news, it was one of Pete's proudest moments as a coach. He knew how badly the kid wanted it, and how hard they'd both worked to get there.
Their parents saw the change.

“It was literally night and day, the improvements. He gave her the confidence to want to earn it.”

“He's very baseball smart now. He teaches me how to play baseball now.”

“Her basic fundamentals have become much sharper, and her way of approaching the game.”

“Brings passion, energy, on time, and always prepared.”
